2020 Daou, ‘Soul of the Lion’ Paso Robles, C. Sauvignon

DAOU Vineyards’ 2020 “Soul of a Lion” is a premium Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant Bordeaux blend from Paso Robles’ Adelaida District, featuring 81% Cabernet Sauvignon with Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Grown on DAOU Mountain’s limestone-rich terroir at 2,200 feet elevation, it underwent 22 months in mostly new French oak (including rare pink oak), yielding a powerful yet refined Paso Robles red with exceptional structure and aging potential through 2035.
